The revelation from the World Health Organisation that 800,00 people die by
suicide each year – one every 40 seconds – making it the second leading
cause of death among young people (aged 15 to 29) comes as unsurprising.
In Australia in 2018 there were 3046 deaths by suicide per 100,000 this
equates to 8.3 deaths by suicide each day.
Yet Governments continue to throw vast amounts of money at unproven
programs.
We receive no Government funding except for Tax Deductibility Status and
are often not included in community consultations by Health Departments.
White Wreath Association Ltd’s main aim is to raise funds in order to
establish Safehaven Centres for those who have mental health problems
and especially for those when suicide threatens.
